Responsibilities

  • Administer and manage employee benefit programs for the State of Maryland, including health, dental, vision, life, and retirement plans.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 2+ years of experience administering employee benefits, preferably in a government or large‑scale organization.
  • Strong knowledge of Maryland state benefit regulations and federal statutes (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA).
  • Proficiency with HRIS/benefits platforms (e.g., Workday, ADP, Benefitfocus).
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Detail‑oriented with strong organizational and analytical abilities.
