Insurance Claims Adjuster

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and settle insurance claims in accordance with company policies and state regulations.
• Interview claimants, witnesses, and other relevant parties to gather accurate information.
• Review police reports, medical records, and other documentation to determine liability and appropriate settlement amounts.
• Communicate claim decisions clearly and professionally to policyholders and third parties.
• Maintain detailed, organized case files within the company’s claims management system.
• Collaborate with underwriters, legal counsel, and external vendors as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Risk Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum 2 years of experience in property and casualty claims handling.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
• Proficiency with claims software (e.g., Guidewire, Xactimate) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to work independently and manage a caseload efficiently.
