Responsibilities
- Investigate and evaluate insurance claims to determine coverage and liability.
- Interview claimants, witnesses, and other parties to gather relevant information.
- Document findings and prepare detailed reports for underwriting and legal teams.
- Collaborate with underwriters, attorneys, and other internal stakeholders to resolve complex cases.
- Ensure compliance with New York State insurance regulations and company policies.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in claims adjusting or a related insurance role.
- Valid New York State insurance adjuster license.
- Strong analytical, investigative, and communication skills.
- Proficiency with claims management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
