Responsibilities
- Investigate and evaluate insurance claims to determine coverage and liability.
- Interview claimants, witnesses, and other parties involved.
- Collect, review, and analyze documentation, photographs, and police reports.
- Prepare detailed reports and recommend claim settlements.
- Collaborate with underwriters, attorneys, and external vendors as needed.
- Maintain accurate records in compliance with state regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 2 years of experience in claims adjusting, insurance, or related industry.
- Strong analytical and investigative skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
- Proficiency with claims management software (e.g., Guidewire, Xactimate) and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and ability to travel within the state.
- Professional certifications (e.g., AIC, CPCU) are a plus.
