Responsibilities

  • Investigate, evaluate, and process property and casualty insurance claims in accordance with state regulations and company policies.
  • Conduct site inspections, interview claimants and witnesses, and gather relevant documentation.
  • Determine claim liability, calculate settlement amounts, and negotiate with claimants and third‑party representatives.
  • Maintain accurate claim files and enter data into the claims management system.
  • Collaborate with underwriters, attorneys, and external vendors to resolve complex cases.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and clear communication throughout the claims process.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree or higher in Business, Insurance, or related field; or equivalent work experience.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in property and casualty claims adjusting.
  • California insurance adjuster license (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
  • Strong analytical, investigative, and negotiation skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Proficiency with claims management software (e.g., Xactimate, Guidewire) and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid California driver’s license and reliable transportation.
