Insurance Claims Adjuster – Property & Casualty

Responsibilities

• Investigate, evaluate, and settle property and casualty insurance claims in accordance with company guidelines and state regulations.
• Interview claimants, witnesses, and third‑party professionals to gather accurate information.
• Prepare detailed reports, estimates, and settlement recommendations for review by senior adjusters.
• Maintain thorough documentation of all claim activities in the agency’s claims management system.
• Provide exceptional customer service, keeping claimants informed throughout the process.
• Collaborate with underwriters, attorneys, and external vendors to resolve complex claim issues.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Insurance, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 2+ years of experience in property and casualty claims adjusting or a related role.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills with keen attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with claims management software (e.g., Guidewire, Xactimate) and Microsoft Office Suite.
• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license and reliable transportation for field investigations.
• Licensure as a Property & Casualty Adjuster in Pennsylvania (or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire).
