Responsibilities
• Serve as the primary point of contact for Medicare beneficiaries in the Colorado Springs area, providing accurate and compassionate information about coverage options, enrollment processes, and benefits.
• Conduct in‑person, phone, and virtual consultations to assess client needs and recommend appropriate Medicare plans.
• Maintain up‑to‑date knowledge of federal and state Medicare regulations, policy changes, and local community resources.
• Coordinate appointments, follow‑up calls, and documentation with healthcare providers, insurers, and social service agencies.
• Enter and manage client data in the Center’s secure CRM system, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA.
• Participate in community outreach events, workshops, and health fairs to promote Medicare education.
• Collaborate with the Center’s leadership team to identify service gaps and suggest process improvements.
Requirements
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in health administration, social work, or related field preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in customer service, health insurance, or social services, preferably with Medicare/Medicaid.
• Strong understanding of Medicare Parts A, B, C, and D, as well as enrollment procedures.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to explain complex information in plain language.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and experience using CRM or case‑management software.
• Demonstrated ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and adhere to HIPAA standards.
• Bilingual (Spanish) is a plus but not required.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States and pass a background check.
